Over the last few weeks, we have seen the most generous of human beings walk through the doors of our heart space in Wheeler to vacuum up muddy water, repair holes, paint walls, organize tools, arrange discarded furniture into cozy vignettes, plant flowers, greet customers, hang photos and light candles.
I am humbled by the generosity of our community volunteers who show me over and over what it means to reimagine waste and love unconditionally. Our volunteers put love into the discards, the junk, the tangled messes, the dirty and the broken and turn those items into treasure.
Heart of Cartm is full to the brim, overflowing with the compassion and creativity of this community and we want to share this with as many of you as absolutely possible. On Monday from Noon – 1pm, Heart of Cartm is serving heart-y soup for the soul from Heidi at The Roost in Wheeler. The store is open Noon-6pm. Come on in to craft a little valentine (like those in the photo!), find a little treasure or sign up to join our team of volunteer hearts.
