Auditions for the Coaster Theatre Playhouse’s May production of Sylvia will begin at 6:30 p.m. both March 7 and 8 in the theatre
The Coaster Theatre is looking for four actors to fill the roles in this hilarious comedy. Sylvia is directed by Patrick Lathrop, who will begin rehearsals around March 12. The show runs weekends May 12-June 3 for 10 performances. More information about the show and auditions is at coastertheatre.com.
Written by A.R. Gurney, Sylvia is a charming comedy that follows Greg and Kate who recently moved to Manhattan after 22 years of child-raising in the suburbs. When Greg brings home a dog he found in the park—or that has found him—bearing only the name “Sylvia” on her name tag, she becomes a major bone of contention between husband and wife.
