Start your week off with Flowers from Friends of North County Recreation District! Know anybody with a birthday on Monday-now is the time to get them that gift of flowers. Friends try to get to the Manzanita Grocery & Deli by 9 am, but we’ve been known to be a few minutes late. It’s those creative spirits who work on the bouquets-they won’t release them until they meet the bar. Oh, I forgot to tell you Friends will also be selling on Wednesday (whose birthday is it on Wednesday)? Then we will be there again on Friday and Saturday mornings. We thank everyone for buying Friends flowers. Your purchase helps us to fulfill Friends Mission: Promoting and supporting NCRD by raising funds for scholarships, programs, and projects. In the last four quarters Friends has awarded scholarships to Aquatics, Fitness, and Youth Programs at NCRD to the tune of $15,481.
