Felt Ornament Making Workshop
11:00am -2:00pm
This workshop is a great introduction to needle felting , giving students an introduction to the method of transforming wool roving into 3D material.
The workshop will begin with a lesson on sculpting with a felting needle, layering up stripes and dots with wool.
In this class three hour felt ornament workshop you will discover the basics of needle felting including.
use of different tools
wool blending techniques
shaping wool
building in 2nd and 3rd dimension
finishing decoration
You will be creating ornaments in this class but the techniques you’ll learn can be easily adapted to make anything your heart imagines.
Beginners welcome!
Felting is a fun and forgiving art. If you’re not happy with something it’s easy to undo and recreate it.
