The hilarious Meshuggah-Nuns! makes its home on the Coaster Theatre stage this summer. Opening Friday, June 28 and running for 27 shows through Sunday, Sept. 1.

Meshuggah-Nuns! is the fifth installment in the Nunsense series and follows the sisters of the Little Sisters of Hoboken on an all-expense paid trip on the “Faiths of All Nations” cruise. After a week at sea, the ship runs into a storm. Several people become ill, including all of the actors in the ship’s production of Fiddler on the Roof. (All except the actor playing Tevye, that is.) The captain of the ship, knowing of the sisters’ show biz savvy, requests that the sisters and Tevye put on a revue. The result: a hilarious musical celebration of Catholic and Jewish
traditions.

Meshuggah-Nuns! is directed by Patrick Lathrop and features Katherine Lacaze as Sister Mary Regina (Reverend Mother), Rhonda Warnack as Sister Mary Hubert, Rachel Stahly as Sister Robert Anne, Cathey Ryan as Sister Mary Paul (a.k.a. Amnesia), and David Sweeney as Howard Liszt.

The production crew includes Sondra Gomez (costumer), Mick Alderman (set builder/lighting
design), Juan Lira (set painter) and Nancy McCarthy (sound and light operator).

Tickets are $30 or $35; they can be purchased at the theatre box office (503-436-1242) or online at coastertheatre.com. The box office is open 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 12:30 p.m. to curtain on performance days.
