Description:
Join Donate Life Northwest as they help answer your questions and further your understanding of the importance of organ, eye, and tissue donation. Focused topics will include specific data about donation and transplant, the difference between deceased and living donation, and dispelling myths surrounding donation and transplant.

Bios:
Marissa Markintire is the Director of Education and Outreach at Donate Life Northwest. She started at Donate Life Northwest in 2017 as the Education Coordinator and now oversees the nonprofit’s education and outreach programming and staff. Holding a BA in Health Education and an MPH in Health Promotion and Health Behavior, Marissa brings experience managing and supporting staff and volunteers, developing and managing health education programs, and sharing her family’s connection to donation and transplantation.

Sandy Jewell is beginning her third year as the Education Coordinator at Donate Life Northwest. She oversees the high school outreach program, classroom volunteers, and the GoRecycleYourself curriculum. Sandy has over 20 years of experience in formal and informal classroom education and STEM programming and holds an M. ED and Master’s in Professional and Technical Writing. She is passionate about helping high school students make informed decisions about becoming organ, eye, and tissue donors.
