We infrequently have a bad odor in a bathroom that is not explained by normal events, more like something has died. It lasts for a week or so and then fades away, only to recur a few months later. I have looked in the crawl space, under the vanity cabinet base and in the heating ducts and cannot identify any source for this smell.
