Heart of CARTM and Tillamook County Solid Waste are excited to launch a new series of quarterly community conversations on Waste Solutions and Recycling Practices! These events will give you the latest updates on recycling, waste reduction, and sustainability while offering opportunities to ask questions, connect with local experts, and learn how you can make a difference.
Why now? With new recycling laws (RMA legislation) taking shape and growing interest in the Tillamook County Master Recyclers program, it’s the perfect time for public conversation about sustainable waste management.
Whether you’re a recycling enthusiast or just curious about how recycling works, these events are for YOU. Let’s come together, learn, and share ideas to reduce waste and improve recycling in Tillamook County.

The Master Recylers program is an initiative of the Tillamook County Solid Waste Department with a mission to “educate our community on the environmental impacts of our daily decisions and to encourage people to rethink, reduce, repair, repurpose, and then recycle.” Heart of Cartm is caring for this program by updating the coursework, organizing the annual classes and seeking ongoing partnerships for volunteer projects. Funding for this program has been provided by Oregon Community Foundation – Bottle Drop Fund and Tillamook Coast Visitors Association.
