Brian Campbell, a 31 year old pro golfer, won the Mexico Open on Sunday with a little help from a miracle. Campbell, the shortest hitter on tour, was in a playoff with a 20 year old who is now the longest hitter on tour. They were playing the par-5 18th hole for the 3rd time when Campbell’s drive sliced right into the OB forest. His ball hit a tree (sounded more like the huge bamboo out there) and bounced back into play, which gave him a shot some 100 yards behind his opponent.

Campbell then managed a birdie to win the match. He has played on the Korn Ferry tour for most of his career where he has never won a tournament, and he was ranked #222 on the PGA tour. Over beside the 18th green, when his final putt dropped, his girlfriend fell to her knees and sobbed.

This was one of the most moving wins I have ever watched, and I think stories like this are desperately needed currently. Here are a couple links to coverage:
