We are reaching out about an important meeting coming up next Tuesday, June 18th that we hope you can participate in.
Oregon’s Joint Committee on Transportation is coming to Tillamook as part of a statewide listening tour focused on building a legislative understanding of Oregon’s transportation needs and shared priorities.
Regional trails, including the Salmonberry Trail, won’t be part of that conversation without your voice. We are reaching out and asking community members to provide testimony at this meeting to let legislators know that regional trails, especially the Salmonberry Trail, plays a critical role in this rural region by providing safe transportation options, supporting local health and wellness, and contributing to economic development.
Additionally, If you are interested in gaining a walking/biking trail as an off-shoot from the Salmonberry Trail in Wheeler, through Nehalem to Manzanita, this meeting would be the perfect place to come have your voice heard in conjunction with the Salmonberry Trail Foundation.
