Nehalem Bay Health Center and Pharmacy Update

For the week of: 9/23/2024

What to expect:

– The first concrete pour is scheduled for 9/24/24. The pour will consist of the retaining wall footing along the east edge of the property and concrete fill beneath the building’s electrical room.

– Building footing subgrade prep and formwork to begin in the next week.

– Stormwater system installation is scheduled to begin as early as next week, starting with trenching.

Major milestones on the project:

– Under slab plumbing rough-in completed.

– Under slab electrical rough-in completed.

– Retaining wall footing formwork and rebar completed and inspected.

About the new Health Center and Pharmacy

– The new facility in Wheeler will replace the existing Nehalem Bay Health Center and Pharmacy and provide more than 16,000 square feet of space accommodating 15 exam and treatment rooms, a modern pharmacy, a dental suite, x-ray, behavior
health unit and a community room.

– The project is being developed by the Nehalem Bay Health District and the District will own the building.

– Medical personnel and services will be provided by the local non-profit Nehalem Bay Health Center that will lease the new facility from the District.
