I swore by an oath I took 42 years ago…

These days, that oath means nothing to those in charge…
It saddens me of what will become of the future missions of the military….
We now no longer have a leadership to defend and keep our country safe and prosperous.
I fear that past history is rapidly repeating the horrific acts of WWII.
Our country has taken a downfall that is so damaging with the over abundance of fascism, hate, racism and divisiveness.

42 years ago yesterday, I raised my right hand and took my first oath (of a total of 6) for enlistment in the US Army at a Recruiting Station in Bishop CA. I was on a 90 day Delayed Entry (or Enlistment) Program (DEP). On May 9th 1983, I left the Military Entrance Processing Station in Los Angeles CA for BASIC TRAINING, FT MCCLELLAN, AL.

The Oath of Enlistment (for enlistees):
“I, Diane Weatherwax, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”

I know in my heart and my love for this country my oath should never expire … But, unfortunately this country no longer abides by a constitution to defend. Today obeying the current president is unconstitutional. Additionally, the regulations I guarantee are no longer under any Uniform Code of Military Justice.
