Friends of North County Recreation District asks for your support with its Summer Flower Sales. President Linda Makohon says, “We are small towns with lots of big hearts.” Linda continues with Friends’ Mission, “We support North County Recreation District by promoting it and raising funds for its programs and projects.” For the fiscal year 2021-2022, Friends provided $6,145 in scholarships for the Pool, Fitness, and Youth programs, with more than half of that amount for Youth programs.
Friends’ Summer Flower Sales, at the Manzanita Grocery & Deli in downtown Manzanita, will continue daily into September. Arrangements sell for $10 and up. And don’t forget the $5 Manzanita Monday deals! Friends also deliver flower arrangements in the local area. Birthdays, anniversaries, a special dinner or event? We’ve got you covered! Bet your neighbor would love a bouquet!
