April 9th & 23rd

We gather and sing to heal ourselves and our community…we train to sing for those at the thresholds of life and death.
Whatever level you feel called to participate, we welcome your quiet energy…your resounding spirit…your soothing voice.

Threshold singers gather (in person) twice per month on 2nd&4th Tuesdays, 6:00-6:45pm @ St. Catherine’s Church in Nehalem, Oregon. We encourage singers to come as early as 5:30 for self-guided social & warm-up.

2nd Tuesdays: Intro & Healing Space (Practice giving/receiving healing through song – hosted by Ann & Ali)

4th Tuesdays: Core Songs Practice (Nuts & Bolts – hosted by Kim & Jennifer)

BONUS!
For those who wish to stay later to sing with the St. Catherine’s Community *Song Circle*, they begin at 7pm (also both 2nd&4th Tuesdays), and all are welcome.

clumps of meadowsweet, ready to plant

Submitted By: vivi@nehalemtel.net – Click to email about this post
Hello BBQers:
On this sunny Spring day, I divided my meadowsweet shrub. I planted 3 clumps back into my garden, and put 8 clumps on the street in front of my house for you to take and plant into your garden.
What is meadowsweet? Follow this link to read about this handsome, fragrant and medicinally useful plant: strictlymedicinalseeds.com/product/meadowsweet-spirea-ulmaria-potted-plant-organic/
If you are interested in plants, particularly medicinal ones, Strictly Medicinal is a great source of seeds and starts. This is where I bought the seeds for my meadowsweet, probably 12 years ago. And this is the first time I’ve divided my shrub.
In the summer I harvest the meadowsweet flowers and leaves, dry them, and then enjoy them as tea, especially if I have a hint of a headache.
As you can see in the photo, the new leaves are just coming up. These clumps of plants are on the street now, against the rock wall, just north of the mailboxes in front of my house at 35600 13th in Nehalem.
It’s perfect weather for gardening!

Free Hot Tub (sorry no pictures included I forgot last time I was out there 🙂

Bought in about 2012. 2 person tub, perfect for a deck. Has not been used in about a year but before that was in good working order. Chemicals included. Several pieces of the siding have fallen off but can be caulked back on with relative ease. Please contact me for more details.

Thanks!

FREE-4 Person Screened Tent

Free to a good home just in time to plan camping trip. BUT here’s the catch, one pole is broken. You get to research or find another pole that works.

Tent plus rain fly, sturdy floor, all poles (even the broken one), orange as shown in picture, has been in dry garage storage.

Four person means it’s really roomy for 1 or 2 peeps plus a dog 🙂

Please DO NOT respond to barbaraandchuck@nehalemtel.net

I have around 30 flattened boxes suitable for storage or moving. Most are similar to U-Haul “small” size, but some are similar to “medium.”
Come and get them in Pine Ridge (Manzanita). E-mail for more info.

Sunday Sacred Scream Session – 9 AM, end of Laneda

Submitted By: Christy@cosmichealingnw.com – Click to email about this post
Hello BBQ Community,

Anger is a normal, very valid emotion, that comes with grief and loss….. especially with unexpected and unexplainable loss.
Anger needs to be felt, to be expressed, to be witnessed, to be released…..or it will manifest as dis-ease emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and even physically
There will be a Sacred Scream Session on Sunday morning, March17th, at 9 AM, on the beach. We will meet on the end of Laneda, in Manzanita and move towards the water, for ceremony
Please join us, to scream, to cry, to wail, to yell- to breathe and release some of our anger and grief…..within a safe, supportive and loving container. Facilitated by Minister Christy Kay.

Rising Hearts Studio will be open immediately after, for tea and community.

Contact Christy (503) 800-1092, or Christy@cosmichealingnw.com for questions or concerns

Hope to see you there-

Rolls of recycled insulating material, free to you

Submitted By: Rumblemailbox@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Hi Friends, I receive refrigerated foods by mail and have acquired some insulating packing materials, with more coming in the future. These are rolls of recycled fiber incased in foil (size is 39 x 16”). A few rolls have heavy plastic over the fiber. I know these are bound to be useful to someone, as I was able to wrap my outside faucets during the recent ice storm. Perhaps in greenhouses, inside pet houses that are outdoors, or other places that need a bit of insulation? I am in Manzanita for your pickup. Please email if interested.
