Submitted By: juliegmaxfield@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
I LOVE editing and proofreading, and I would be happy to help you turn your drafty ideas or sloppy copy into something that makes you proud.

I have professional experience reviewing resumes and other application materials, websites, newsletters, memoirs, poetry, fiction, and just about everything else.

I’m open to short projects with quick turnaround times as well as longer pieces.

I provide clear, kind feedback in the format you prefer (track changes, google doc suggestions, red pen on paper, whatever’s clever).

Rates to be determined in collaboration with writers based on the needs and demands of each project. Let’s get your ideas out there!

Pioneer CDJ-100S Repair/Service

Submitted By: lynda.chick@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Hello BBQland,

I am looking for someone who has retro-tech skills.

I have a pair of Pioneer CDJ-100S cd decks (used to be the thing for djing once upon time), and they both are doing the same thing. They turn on, but when I insert a cd, it doesn’t spin but instead immediately gets ejected.

Is there anyone out there who has the skills to troubleshoot this problem?

Thank you!

Fun and Rewarding Job Opportunity in Nehalem!

My 19year old son is looking for someone close to his own age (18-28ish) to support him in achieving his dreams and aspirations. He is a non speaking autistic individual who uses an alternative mode of communication called S2C (spell to communicate). He fully comprehends but can’t respond via talking and his body doesn’t always do what he wants it to do! He uses a letter board that displays the alphabet and he spells out his words instead of saying them.

He requires a friend and ally who will presume competence and respect his intelligence while providing him with the direct support necessary for communication regulation, computer accessibility assistance for online high school courses, assist with swimming, assistance with fine motor and gross motor tasks necessary for daily living and facilitate participation in his community.

Requirements and Responsibilities:
* Have a love of nature and being outdoors.
* Enjoy swimming
* Be at least 18 years of age and have reliable transportation.
* Assistance with daily living skills such as food preparation and basic hygiene skills.
* Consent to and pass a State Background Check.
* Be legally eligible to work in the United States.
* Be free of convictions or founded allegations of abuse.
* Minimum of high school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
* Experience or sincere interest in working with people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities within a setting promoting community integration, normalization, and treatment of all persons with dignity and respect.
* To actively participate in developing and implementing plans to meet his unique needs.
* Document all activity relative to the daily activities.
In addition to competitive wages $24.00-$26.00/hr, paid training, a casual dress code, and fun environments, provider agency will provide excellent benefit package for full-time employees: medical/Rx, dental, and vision coverage; paid-time off; retirement savings plan with employer contribution.
*This is currently a part time position with a possibility of full time in the future.
Flexible 2-3 hour shifts. Must be available on most weekends and some weekday evenings.

Interested individuals are encouraged to check out the following website links that describes S2C (spelling to communicate) and videos of other non speaking autistic individuals who are on a similar communication path as my son….

WANTED New home for a precious kitty

Submitted By: kerryiallen@hotmail.com – Click to email about this post
Sam the sweet and friendly kitty is searching for a new home.

Sam is approximately 3 years old and has lost his owner due her passing recently. Sam, whom I have met, is a sweetheart, a talker, inside/outside kitty who is looking for his next forever home.

Sam is currently being cared for by a kind neighbor, who is unable to take Sam. Sam currently resides out off Miami Foley road, approximately 10 miles from Manzanita.

Sam is on his own, so I am unsure if he would be okay with other kitties or dogs.

For more information about Sam, please reach out to Becky at 503.322.2745.

I am placing this post on Becky’s behalf.

Thank you and let’s all find this precious kitty a new home.

Rental needed for the best tenant!

Submitted By: Sarahnloaf@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Hi everyone! My name is Sarah and I’m am the tenant in need. My rental home in Wheeler is being sold and myself and my very mellow sweet quiet adorable dog Meatloaf need a new home (pictures provided)

It’s just us and we don’t need a ton of space. I’m mainly outdoors not at home so I’m very flexible on what can work. I just need something so we can stay and you all know how hard that can be to find. I’m really hoping someone here can help. Year lease is ideal. Im a quiet professional that also does ceramics in Nehalem at a local shop. Extremely good credit and qualified. Non smoking, non drinking, very quiet overall. Any questions feel free to ask. Open to all areas around Nehalem within 10 min or so is ideal. But again I’m in need so open to a bit farther.

I just received the news today so I have a little bit of time. Im in Portugal currently so it might take extra time for my response. It’s about 8 hours later But I’m on the serious search so I’ll be back to you very soon during my waking hours.

Fingers crossed the best landlord is looking for the best tenant and her adorable dog 🙂 Open to renting a room if needed but prefer my own space. I’m open though to hearing of anything!

Small/sturdy folding table (48×30)

Submitted By: jwmerc@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Hi there – I recently had a table just like this one stolen (outside the county) and am looking to replace it (the one in the picture no longer has proper integrity to hold weight).
Brand was “Lifetime” and the measurements were 30″ wide by 48″ long. What was most advantageous was the ability to hold a reasonable amount of weight (honey jars) – and it would fit nicely inside my modest sized SUV for transport.
Of course I could go buy a new one – but hey – maybe one of you have one that you no longer need?
Any/all ideas would be helpful – Jeff (the guy who sells honey etc) text: 208-424-0042, e-mail: jwmerc@gmail.com – or message through my Facebook page – Jeffrey Warren (no – not Jeff Warren from Nehalem) – or thru the JW Merc Facebook page
Thanks! JW

Illegal Contractor Information

Submitted By: Coastalwhistleblower@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Did you know you are required to have a license issued by the State of Oregon to perform MOST home improvements?

If you are hiring an unlicensed contractor you are exposing yourself to unnecessary liability AND you are giving up ALL protections from the law as a homeowner.

It is ILLEGAL to advertise for these home improvements without a CCB# posted clearly in the ad. You can verify someones CCB# and also learn of any complaints brought against a contractor.

Do your due diligence and report ILLEGAL contractors.

WANTED HOUSING

Submitted By: kerryiallen@hotmail.com – Click to email about this post
WANTED LONG TERM RENTAL OR LONG TERM HOUSE SITTING OPPORTUNITY

I am searching for a long term rental, preferably or a long term housing opportunity, as in house sitting.

Long term rental – 1 bedroom, (2 bedrooms would be ideal) 1 bath and possibly with a garage, in the tri-village area. I am 63 years young female, on a fixed income and I have one precious kitty who is 17 years old. Both Mercy and myself would take great pride in keeping the property in excellent condition. Great rental history with previous owners and current owners. References available from previous property manager at Along the Coast Properties.

I recently lost the opportunity to continue renting the previous long term rental for 13 years because new owners plan to renovate the two unit property.

Or perhaps there is someone out there who is in need of having their home occupied and taken care of, such as through a long term house sitting arrangement because of infrequent visits to their home?

Any leads would greatly appreciated.

Please feel free to email me with any information concerning these two options.

Thank you
