Wedding cake tiered display

Submitted By: tevisdiii@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
I’m looking for a tiered way to display wedding cupcakes. If you have one to borrow that would be great. I’ll buy one if needed but it might be the last wedding I’ll need one for, in the family, so I thought I’d see what bbqland has first.
Thank you in advance.

Looking for an old crank type ice cream maker

Submitted By: tuttlekip@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
We are looking for an old hand crank ice cream machine.

My grandson (16) is getting interested in fabrication, and would like to try his hand at automating an old style crank ice cream maker by adding parts (a motor, gears, sensors, microprocessor, etc.), and new found knowledge (how to calculate required HP, how to sense when ice cream is done, how to design gear reducers, how to interface microprocessors to bigger motors, etc.), and of course what constitutes a good ice cream recipe!). As with many such projects, the fun is in the journey, so while the end product might actually work, the goal is not to make ice cream in it forever, but rather to see if he can make come to life.

We are looking for a bit of help. Is there any chance that (like me) you may have aged out of that old crank type ice cream maker in the garage, and would like to re-home it? If so, give us a shout. We can take it off your hands. And by the way, having two might give him a few more options.

Thanks
Cliff Tuttle

Rehab Therapist ISO neglected rowing machine

Submitted By: funbludgeon@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Do you have a rowing machine hiding under your laundry or living with the spiders in your garage? I’m usually making other people in this community exercise so that they can get back home to their families, but lately I’ve been realizing I need to put some of that focus onto myself. I would love to put a good rowing machine to work, and thought it might be worth it to reach out to the community and see what’s available. I’m looking forward to hearing from you! **fingers crossed**

Rental needed

Hello, again! I’m trying to help my longtime friend and gardening partner find a new home. She’s a single woman in her seventies who would love to find a small one-bedroom cottage somewhere in the country or at least a quiet location. It would hopefully be in commuting distance of Cannon Beach. She doesn’t need anything fancy, but quiet is important. If you have any leads at all, please send me a note. She doesn’t do social media, so has asked me to help. Thank you so much!

ISO property rental between Astoria and Rockaway

Submitted By: Tylersimpson295@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Hi there!

I’m Tyler, a lead marine wildlife interpreter, educator, and environmentalist working (mostly remotely) in Canon beach with city hall (HRAP). I have been fortunate to have spent several years working remotely + volunteering abroad, living in more than ten countries to date. I am currently residing in Seaside, but the three-month lease will be up come July 16. So, I am searching for housing. In addition to myself, my friend, Cori, would be joining me. She lead a team of pharmacists (via remote work) in terms of occupation.

If you have a property available to rent between Astoria and Rockaway I’d love to chat! We are looking to move into somewhere July 16 of this year. We are open to a 2-6 month lease depending on location (amongst other factors such as availability and price).

We are looking for a furnished two or three bedroom property with strong wifi as we both will be working remotely. Our budget is between $1,800 – 3,000 depending on the location and amenities. Utilities included would be ideal (similar to the function of Furnished Finder, the platform for Travel nurses of which Cori introduced me to last year).

***Alternatively, we do not need to room together. We are open to two separate 1-bedroom studios or small homes, only one of which we would ask to be pet friendly. Our budget for these would be around the same above (split); $900 – 1,500 per person / property.

We have a number of fantastic long-stay reviews on AirBnB, as well as two positive reviews here on Furnished Finder. My current landlord (in Seaside) expressed willingness on also attesting, as have my colleagues within Cannon Beach city-hall. As an environmentalist, I can assure you that we aim to utilize as little energy as possible during our stay. We are also usually gone during the weekends on hiking trips, saving costs of energy even further. Cori will be traveling with her cat of which is most positively behaved (and fixed + declawed). Both Cori and I are beyond clean individuals, so we can assure that the property will look the same upon our departure as it did our arrival. As an environmentalist scientist, I can also assure that we do everything to minimize power usage.

We are willing to place a refundable deposit (including pet deposit) as soon as possible depending on the length of stay that you are comfortable with.

All the best,

Tyler W. Simpson

Available for yard work, gardening, pressure washing, hauling, etc

Submitted By: padraic@xyyd.org – Click to email about this post
I am once again announcing to the bbq that I am available to do miscellaneous outdoor work at your place in the Nehalem/Manzanita/Wheeler area and beyond.
I have been doing all kinds of yard work (weed whacking, gardening, wood-chopping, etc) as well as hauling yard debris and garbage to the dump in my small pickup. I have a weed eater, a chainsaw, and I recently got my pressure washer fixed (I have experience washing the cedar siding of my own home). It has been going well – I am an artistically-minded person and I enjoy being able to help people aesthetically enhance their environment to feel better about their homes (pointless and disgusting work is ok too, though). I have many references from local home owners as well as some local businesses that I have worked for as well, if that is a concern.
I’m open to other odd jobs as well.
$30/hour. Text or call Patrick 503-488-0587

Thanks!

Weed Removal Needed

Submitted By: kstarr@nehalemtel.net – Click to email about this post
I have discovered some Hogweed in my side yard and I need some help getting rid of it. I understand that it can burn your skin, the sun can increase side effects and that it can even blind you. It usually grows alongside roads, in ditches and damp areas so I have no idea how it got into my yard which is dry and under evergreens. Seven Dees folks tell me it needs to be burned. Can we talk price please.
Thank you.
