This even is recommended for ages 3-5. We hope to see you there!
I am in Nehalem. I will pickup. Or, if you have a lot, which would require more than one load in my compact Crossover SUV, perhaps, if your vehicle can haul more, I could pay you to drop your cardboard off at my house in Bayside Gardens/Nehalem
Thank you, Sheila Moran

SEE IT THIS WEEKEND!
Riverbend Players launched the 2025 season with our first-ever Agatha Christie murder mystery—playing to huge crowds!
With six remaining shows, THE MOUSETRAP runs through March 16th at the NCRD Performing Arts Center in Nehalem.
THE MOUSETRAP by Agatha Christie
Directed by Randy Schultz:
A classic murder mystery occurs in Monkswell Manor, a guesthouse where a snowstorm traps a group of strangers.
As news arrives of a murder nearby, the guests realize that the killer might be among them.
Detective Sergeant Trotter arrives to investigate, but as tensions rise and secrets are uncovered, another murder occurs.
The play is famous for its surprise twist ending, and audiences are traditionally asked to keep the plot’s resolution a secret.
The Mousetrap holds the world record as the longest-running play, debuting in 1952 and remaining continuously on stage.
Get your 2025 SEASON PASS now and save 20% on tickets. It’s only available until March 16th.
Tickets and the 2025 SEASON PASS are available now at www.RiverbendPlayers.org

Bev passed away in Seaside, Oregon on February 28, 2025 at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Stephens and her beloved son “Bobby” Stephens. She is survived by her daughter Karen; her daughter-in-law Marcy; her grandchildren Derek Stephens and wife Amanda, and Devon Stephens; her great grandchildren Addison and Ella Stephens; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
What really set Beverly apart is that she was a true Tillamook County pioneer. She was born in Manzanita in the family home right off of Laneda Avenue. While she was being delivered her next-door neighbor Shirley (Adamscheck) Potter sat on the front steps waiting for Bev to make her appearance. That day a friendship was born that would last a lifetime. The two friends; Phyllis Nadine (Stephens) Marti and Phyllis Ann (Kane) Stephens grew up together and were friends and sisters all their lives. Bev spent almost all of her life in and around the Nehalem Valley. She was proud to be a local and from one of the intergenerational families that have called Nehalem Valley home for decades.
Graveside services will be held at Nehalem American Legion Cemetery at 10755 Necarney City Road Nehalem, Oregon March 22nd at 2:00pm followed immediately by a gathering to celebrate her with cakes and coffee at the White Clover Grange at 36585 Oregon Highway 53. Please join family and friends of Beverly and share the celebration of a woman who loved her family, friends, community, and cake.

From shipwrecks to wrack lines, the pieces to be read by Oregon, Washington and Canadian writers explore the meanings and metaphors of “rising tide,” this year’s theme for the library’s annual writing project.
The seventh annual Writers Read Celebration will begin at 7 p.m.; admission is free. People can attend in person at the library, 131 Hemlock St., or online; the link will be on the library’s website, cannonbeachlibrary.org.
Fifteen pieces to be read include stories, poems and haikus. Topics include a woman who lifts a whale off the beach, flowers floating from Ukraine, a body to be buried, a morning and evening spent at Haystack Rock and a nod to political currents.
This is the seventh year that the library’s NW Authors Series Committee asked writers from everywhere to submit works on a specific theme. Writers could submit up to three entries in any format limited to 600 words per entry.
Of the 85 entries, the committee, after a blind reading, selected 15 pieces to be read by 13 writers. One of those writers is from Alberta, Canada.
Those invited to read this year were:
John Ciminello, Naselle, WA, poem: King Tides at Cape Disappointment
Deanna Duplechain, Seaside, OR, short story: Seeing Saturday
Christie Ellis, Astoria, flash fiction: All at Sea
Kristi Lund, Nehalem, OR, poem: Heeding the Tide
Mimi Maduro, Cape Meares, OR, haiku, Three Haiku
Colleen Medlock, Portland/Seaside, OR, flash fictions: Shifting Tides and A Light in a Storm
Russell Myers, Vancouver, WA, flash fiction: The Body
Jennifer Nightingale, Astoria, OR, poems: She Knows the Tide is Rising and Gifts from the Wrack Line
